Sophomore Aidan Ruddy (19:18.42) placed eleventh to lead Breckenridge/Wahpeton, and junior Francisco Perez (20:40.58) was sixteenth.  Senior Isaac Getz (21:16.41), junior Gus Lasch (21:22.84) and senior Jayden Wiertzema (21:27.29) rounded out the team scoring in 21st through 23rd place.  Freshman Jonathan Hill (22:02.13) and senior Corbin Cornelius (23:32.9) also competed.

“We have our largest team since the two school co-op started five years ago, with 45 runners, many of whom took part in the first race of the season,” said Head Coach Larry Lasch.  “Going into the season we have many vacancies from last year’s lineup.  Today, I saw lots of potential and areas that need improvements.  We have a lot of new faces on the team and it was good to see what they can do in a racing situation.  I was pleased with the effort, but it is apparent we need to get into shape for the 5k race.  The good news is we have kids who are capable and determined to improve and we have a long season to get better.”

D-G-F did not have a complete team, but senior Cade Dawson (18:04.23) ran to a fourth place finish and senior Alec Gulseth (18:21.46) was seventh.
