“We lost some good players to graduation and every one of the seniors we lost was a starter and contributor,” shared Petermeier. “They will all be missed greatly and we have some pretty big shoes to fill.”
Returners include seniors Hunter Hawkins (WR/DB), Cooper Folkestad (OL/DL), Garrett Redning (OL/DL) and Cody Wheeler (OL/DL), juniors Zach Shaw (WR/DB), Brayden Kleinke (OL/LB) and Nate Burckhardt (OL/DL) and sophomore Payton Rondestvedt (QB/LB).
Petermeier will be looking to several new varsity players to step up and fill starting or reserve roles, including seniors Dylan Kern (RB/LB) and Cameron Pearson, juniors Aiden Larson (WR/DB), Kade Woods (WR/DB) and Aidan Randall (OL/DL), sophomores Josh Dykhoff (WR/LB) and Paul Gibson (OL/DL) and freshman Leondry Nelson (OL/DL).
Keith Ferris, Ed Sugg and Norm Gallant will serve as assistant coaches.
“Pillager returns as Section 6AA champs and Osakis was runner-up a year ago, plus there are several other teams looking to make a run,” added Petermeier.
