The Breckenridge Cowboys were 7-3 last season and they do return a solid nucleus of experienced players from that team, leading to optimism entering 2019.

“We have some good experience coming back from last year,” commented Head Coach Chad Fredericksen.  “We don’t have a lot of seniors, but our junior class returns a number of players who started for us last season.”

Returning players include seniors Jack Aigner (RB/LB) and Tyson Piechowski (TE/DE), and juniors Daniel Erlandson (FB/DL), Cooper Yaggie (QB/FS), Connor Twidwell (OL/DE) and Gavin Johnson (OL/DL).

Fredericksen is looking for senior Jase Jensen (WR/DB) and juniors Jared Aamold (OL/DL), Jonah Christensen (OL/DL), Jacob Vizenor (RB/DB) and Chris Nieto (RB/DB) to step in and make an immediate varsity impact.

Fredericksen, who will be assisted by Brad Lindberg, Joel Herder, Tony Bogenrief, Jordan Christensen, Jake Purrier, Eric Erlandson and Tanner Rabbithead, sees Underood, Ottertail Central and Ada-Borup as the main challengers in District and Section play.
