The Fergus Falls Hurricanes complete their Countryside League Championship season on Saturday with a 7-5 loss to the New York Mills Millers. The ‘Canes will receive a first round bye in the Region 16C Playoffs which start on Saturday in Pelican Rapids. They will play the winner of the Alexandria/Long Prairie game. On Saturday, New York Mills scored four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to overcome a 5-3 deficit. Mason Roberts (2-4, 2B, 2R, RBI), Brandon Kupfer (2-4, 2R, 2B, 3RBI) and Tyler Patron (3-5, 32B, 3RBI) led the Millers offensively. Patron threw four scores innings of relief to earn the win, striking out three batters and allowing only two hits.
