Post 30 Splits with Perham

Fergus Falls American Legion Post 30 traveled to Perham for a double header on Tuesday. Perham won the first game 10-5, but Post 30 rebounded for a game two 10-6 win. 

 

Cole Fronning started on the mound in game one and took the loss, (4IP, 8H, 6R,4ER, 1BB, 2K).  Marshall King threw well in relief.

Nathan Zierden led the offensive attack with 2 hits and 2 RBI.

Post 30 led 1-0 until the 4th when Perham scored 4 to take the lead. Post 30 would tie the game at 4-4 in the 5th, but Perham would come back with 2 runs to take the lead for good.

Post 30 rebounded nicely with a 10-6 hard fought victory in game two.

Zierden started on the mound and picked up the win (4 1/3IP, 6H, 6R, 6ER, 4BB, 7K). Austin Stanislawski picked up the save in relief, (2 2/3IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 2K).

Zierden continued a great day at the plate in the night cap with 3 hits. King was 1-3 with a 3-run inside the park homer in the first inning.

Post 30 led 5-1 after 4 Innings, but Perham rallies with the best of them. Perham struck for 5 runs, capped by a grand slam. 

Post 30 grew their lead with 3 runs in the 7th inning with clutch two out RBI hits by Brock Kotschevar and Cole Fronning.

Post 30 is now 13-8 overall and travel to Moorhead for a double header on Thursday.
