Pete Gaustad (7IP, 11K, 1BB, 5H, 1ER) threw a complete game for Fergus Falls, improving his season record to 3-2.
Dent scored a single run in the bottom of the first inning when Jason Hoffman singled home Jeff Ronning who had reached base on a one out single.
The seven run second inning for Fergus Falls started with a lead-off double by Tosten Mann, who then scored on a base hit by Gaustad. Dan Revering then singled and Jake Anderson followed with a two-run double. After a ground out, Anderson scored on a single by Jack Hiedeman and Heideman scored on a two-run homer by Sean McGuire. A double by Thomas Bosek and a single by Darin Stanislawski completed the scoring.
The Hurricanes added a pair of fourth inning runs. Hiedeman and McGuire led off the inning with singles. Hiedeman scored on a ground out by Stanislawski and McGuire came across the plate on a base hit by Mann.
With one out in the fifth, Anderson singled. After a fly out Hiedeman was hit by a pitch. McGuire then singled home Anderson and Bosek delivered a double to plate Hiedeman. A single by Stanislawski brought home McGuire and Bosek.
The Hurricanes were led by McGuire (4-4, 2B, HR, 3R, 3RBI), Stanislawski (2-4, 4RBI), Mann (3-4, 2B, 3B, R, RBI), Anderson (2-4, 2B, 2RBI) and Hiedeman (2-3, 3R, RBI).
Fergus Falls is now 8-2 in Countryside League play. They will host the Wadena-Deer Creek Shockers in a double header beginning at 4:00pm Sunday at American Legion Field at DeLagoon Park.
