Post 30 Wins Twice

Fergus Falls Post 30 traveled to Morris because of field conditions in town to beat Dickinson twice by the scores of 10-0 and 12-6. 

In game 1 Mike Maanum threw a great game, 5IP, 3H, 0R, 1BB, 4K. 

Cole Fronning and Marshall King both had 3 hit games to lead the offense. 

In game 2 Post 30 fell behind 2-0 after an inning, but came back with a run in the 2nd, and three runs in the 3rd and 4th innings to take the lead. Post 30 would add on four insurance runs in the 6th to take a 12-6 lead. 

Nic Pearson started on the mound and picked up the win, 3IP, 3H, 3R, 1ER, 2BB, 1K. Marshall King came in relief of Pearson, 2IP, 1H, 3R, 3ER, 2BB, 4K, Nathan Zierden finished on the mound, 2IP, 1H, 1BB, 4K.

“Overall, it was good to get back into action, it was our first games in 8 days and there was some rust,” said Post 30 Head Coach Trevor Larson.  “We did nice job of putting together good quality at bats.  Mike Maanum gave us a great start in game 1, we got some guys some more experience on the mound in game 2.” 

Post 30 improved to 10-6 on the year, and they continue a busy week with doubleheader’s at American Legion field at 5:00pm and 7:00pm both Thursday and Friday.
