The Fergus Falls Hurricanes committed six errors on Saturday afternoon at American Legion Field as the Bluffton Braves handed the ‘Canes a 14-5 loss in Countryside League baseball action.

Jake Dykhoff led the Braves, going 3-for-6 at the plate with a pair of doubles and five runs batted in.  He also pitched two-and-two-thirds innings of scoreless relief, striking out four batters.  Dustin Geiser (5.1IP, 4K, 1BB, 9H, 4ER) was the winning pitcher.

Leaders for Fergus Falls were Sean McGuire (3-5, 2B, R, RBI), Tosten Mann (2-5, 2B, 2R, RBI) and Jake Anderson (3-4, 2B, 2RBI).

Darin Stanislawski took the loss, striking out ten and allowing just two earned runs in six innings.

The Hurricanes led 4-2 when Bluffton put together a five-run sixth and added five more in the seventh to take control of the game.

“Six errors and an inability to drive in runners from third base with less than two outs continue to hurt the ‘Canes who allowed six unearned runs and had runners at third base three times in the first four innings and did not get the job done,” said manager Davy Johnson.
