The Ottertail Central Raptors went 1-2 in the Highway 10 Classic this past weekend, but bounced back Monday with a 6-2 win over Fergus Falls.

Saturday was a long day for the Raptors as they played two games, losing to Breckenridge 12-3 and beating Staples 24-1.

Breckenridge scored eight runs in the sixth inning to pull away from OTC.  Hunter Haugen went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Raptors.  Izic Albright (5IP, 8H, 4R, 3K) took the loss on the mound.

Four runs batted in by Albright helped lead OTC to victory against Staples.  Albright had a single in the third, a double in the third and a single in the fourth, all resulting in runs being scored.  OTC had 12 runs in the third inning and tallied 19 hits in the game.  Garrett Nelson, Cole Peterson, Albright, Nathan Brock, Tyson Misegades and Isaac Richards each collected multiple hits in the game.  Haugen stole four bases to lead the Raptors.

In their Sunday game against New York Mills, OTC trailed by six runs in the fifth inning but fought back to within a pair of runs before falling by the score of 9-7.  Reed Solberg delivered a two-run single in the Raptors four-run fifth inning.  A sacrifice fly by Peterson brought home another run.  OTC had twelve hits on the day with Solberg and Wyatt Severson each collecting three hits.  The loss went to Jakob Kramer (3IP, 2H, 4R, 5K).

Against Fergus Falls on Monday the game was tied at 2-2 with OTC batting in the bottom of the fifth when Peterson singled in a run to put the Raptors in front.  OTC had 7 hits in the game led by Kramer and Severson with two hits apiece.  Misegades (6.2IP, 11H, 2R, 3K, 1BB) was the winning pitcher.

OTC will face Moorhead on Thursday in Henning, before traveling to Ashby on Friday night and Pelican Rapids on Sunday evening.
