Senior Grant Inniger and sophomore Adam Tonsfeldt of the Barnesville Trojans both qualified for the Minnesota Class AA State Golf Tournament on Tuesday at Bemidji Town and Country Club. Inniger placed fifth with a two-day total of 157 (78-79) and Tonsfeldt was eighth with a score of 159 (82-77).
Senior Gus Vatnsdal of Roseau was the tournament medalist with a 149 (80-69) and Hunter Burnside of Detroit Lakes was runner-up with a 151 (75-76). The Lakers won the team title with a score of 622 (311-311). Roseau was second with a 647 (331-316), Pequot Lakes was third with a 660 (340-320) and Fergus Falls was fourth with a 666 (337-329).
Aaron Shelstad led the Otters with a 161 (78-83), finishing in thirteenth place. Other Otter scores included a 163 (83-80) from Trey Soydara, a 164 (86-78) from Hayden Shol, a 178 (92-85) from Chance Fazio and a 188 (95-93) from Michael Debrito. Eighth-grader Charlie Fuder recorded a 203 (103-100).
