Otters Present Track and Field Awards

The Fergus Falls boys and girls track and field teams held their awards night on Tuesday.

For the boys, Matthew Oehler earned three awards, being named Most Valuable Trackman and Hardest Worker, while receiving the Mike Thompson Individual Effort Memorial award.  Shane Zierden was the Most Valuable Underclassmen and was presented with the Golden Baton award.  Shane Wahlund was the Most Valuable Thrower and also was named Most Improved.  The Most Valuable Jumper award went to Robert Sewell, who was also the top point scorer on the team.  Oehler and Tyler Hansen were recognized for serving as team captains.

Award winners for the Fergus Falls girls were Rachel Wulfkuehle and Jadyn McKeever, who shared the Outstanding Field Athlete award, Sabrina Fronning (Outstanding Track Athlete), Ashlyn Fronning (Outstanding Sophomore), Ainsley Hansen (Outstanding Freshman, Most Improved), Audrey Mudford (Hardest Worker) and Izzy Strege (Coaches Award).  Mudford and Emily Nuss shared the Spirit Award and Sabrina Fronning was the top scorer on the team.

Miranda Hoffman, Jadyn McKeever, Sophie Rausch, Hallie Sheridan, Berit Skogen and Rachel Wulfekuhle served as 2019 captains.
