Sophomore Grace Christenson led the offense with a 4-for-4 day, including three doubles. She drove in three runs and scored three times. Kenna Salo (2-4, 2SB, 2RBI, 3R) and Tiffany Thompson (2-3, 2B, 2RBI) also collected multiple hits for the Eagles, who had 13 hits on the day. Thompson (4IP, 5H, 1ER, 1BB, 6K) was the winning pitcher as New York Mills improved to 19-2 on the season.

New York Mills will enter the double elimination state of the tournament with a 4:00pm game against fourth-seeded Brandon-Evansville at 4:00pm Thursday. The location of the Thursday games is being determined as the Browerville fields have been deemed unplayable due to significant rainfall.
