Three Otter athletes and one Fergus Falls relay team earned All-Conference honors and three other individuals were All-Conference Honorable Mention at the Central Lakes Conference Girls Track and Field Meet in Brainerd on Tuesday.

Ainsley Hansen (5-02.00) and Anika Eldien (4-10.00) were one-two in the high jump, Sabrina Fronning was second in both the 100 meter hurdles (15.86) and 300 meter hurdles (46.87), and the Otters took runner-up honors in the 4x100 meter relay (50.46) with Miranda Hoffman, Anna Anderson, Ashlyn Fronning and Sabrina Fronning.

Honorable Mention went to Jadyn McKeever (9-02.00) and Sophie Rausch (8-06.00) who were fourth and fifth, respectively, in the pole vault, and Svea Smestad with a fifth place (34-09.00) finish in the shot put.

The Otters also took fifth in the 4x200 relay (1:53.20) with the team of Audrey Mudford, Anderson, Hoffman and Ashlyn Fronning.  They were sixth (10:55.50) in the 4x800 relay with Berit Skogen, Karolyn Papon, Emma Koeckeritz and Emilie Carlson.  The 4x400 relay team of Mudford, Rebecca Schindler, Nevaeh Komestakes and Isabelle Strege placed eighth (4:40.22).  Emily Nuss ran to an eighth place finish in the 3200 meter run (12:21.92).

“We had an amazing night in Brainerd,” said Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde.  “The weather brought a lot of wind down the home stretch and that caused many to not see the PRs they wanted, but we were able to compete all the same.”

Alexandria won the team title with 196.333 points and Brainerd was second with 113.333.  Rocori placed third (102), Willmar fourth (99.833) and Fergus Falls fifth (67) out of nine teams.
