The Central Lakes Conference Boys Track and Field Meet was held in Brainerd on Tuesday with Alexandria winning the team title with a score of 146.5.  Runner-up honors went to St. Cloud Apollo with a score of 114 and Brainerd was third with 96 points.  Fergus Falls scored 13.5 points, finishing ninth.

“Congratulations to Robert Sewell,” said Head Coach Randy Hansen.  “Not only did he win the long jump and earn all-conference honors, he also jumped a career best and set a new CLC meet record.  Also congratulations to Tyler Hansen who tied for 6th place in the high jump to earn all-conference honorable mention.  We had a number of other guys who just missed out on scoring points.  Matt Oehler and Joe Eberle had great races.  Now we gear up for the section meet next Wednesday in Fergus Falls.”

Sewell’s winning jump was 22-feet-eleven-and-a- half inches.  He also placed ninth (12.03) in the 100 meter dash.  Hansen went 5-08 in the high jump, Eberle was ninth (54.77) in the 400 meter dash and Oehler was tenth in the 800 meter run (2:09.38).

The Otters were eighth in the 4x400 meter relay (3:49.25) with the team consisting of Matthew Oehler, Tyler Hansen, Owen Spain and Joe Eberle.
