“Aaron needed a good round to move himself up in the conference standings but also to get some confidence as we head into the most important part of our season,” said coach Matt McGovern. 

Other scores for the Otters were Trey Soydara (79), Hayden Shol (80), Chance Fazio (86), Michael DeBrito (99) and Riley McGovern (99).  Next up for boys golf is their last CLC meet of the year on Wednesday in Brainerd at the Legacy. 

“The boys have some big tournaments coming up with sub sections next week and sections the week after in Bemidji, this is the best time of the year in my opinion,” added McGovern. 

Also playing on Monday was the Otter JV team which hosted the final CLC meet of the season.  Davis Shol led the JV team with a 48 followed by Ryan Nelson (49), Sam Dirkman (49), Charlie Fuder (51), Gavin Goepferd (54), and Sam Western with a 56. 

“The future is bright with Otter Golf, we have such a great group of 7th and 8th graders.  These guys are going to be competing at the varsity level in no time, I couldn’t be happier with their progress” said McGovern.
