OTC Wins Quad County Conference Boys Golf Title

Ottertail Central finished first at the Quad County Conference boys golf meet on Monday at Tipsinah Mounds in Elbow Lake.  The Bulldogs team score of 320 was seven strokes better than runner-up Hillcrest (327).  Underwood was third with a 365, followed by Border West (383), West Central Area (383), Pillager (390), Ortonville (392), Rothsay (405), LPGE/Browerville (414) and Ashby (420).

Jackson Nyhus of OTC was medalist with a 76, one stroke better than John Vall of Hillcrest who came in with a 77.  Third place went to the Bulldogs Noah Chase with a 78.  Two Underwood golfers, Canaan Kugler and Trevor Swonger were next with 80’s and Logan Disabella rounded out the medal winners in sixth place with an 82.

“Our third place finish in the conference meet is the best we've done in a long time,” said Underwood Head Coach Chuck Ross. “With all underclassmen hopefully we can build on that for next year.  Hats off to Trevor and Canaan for making the All-Conference team. They have put a lot of time into golf and it's most deserving. Congratulations.”
