Long Prairie/Grey Eagle took advantage of five Brandon-Evansville errors while collecting eight hits in an 8-1 win over the Chargers on Monday night.

“It was one of those nights where things just didn’t go our way,” commented B-E Head Coach Brian Perleberg.  “It wasn’t one or two major things, but a multitude of smaller things.  We left ten runners on base and nine of those were in scoring position, so we had our chances, but just couldn’t break through. Give credit to LPGE, they had their backs to the wall several times, but found a way to get out of it.   There is still plenty of baseball to be played, so hopefully we can rebound from this one and get back on track as the week progresses.”

Marshall Riedel (3/4, 2B, SB) led the Chargers at the plate.  Also getting hits for the Chargers were Keagan Schiele, Tanner Bitzan, Gaven Jacobson, Kyle Schaffran, and Tony Schaffran.

B-E is now 12-6 on the season and will travel to Lake Park on Tuesday and New York Mills on Thursday to round out their regular season.
