Bears Limit OTC to 2 Runs in Double Header Sweep

The Bertha-Hewitt softball team limited the Ottertail Central Bulldogs to just two runs on Tuesday in their double header sweep of OTC.

In game one, the Bears collected 16 hits on the way to a 13-1 win, taking advantage of five OTC errors in the process.

Melanie Line (5IP, 7H, ER, 2BB, 2K) was the winning pitcher for the Bears.  Morgan Glenz (3-4, 2B, 3B, 3RBI, 3R), Mardi Ehrmantraut (3-4, 3R, SB), Tess Jones (3-4, 2B, 3B, RBI, 2R) and Line (2-4, 2B, 3B, 2RBI, R) were the offensive leaders for Bertha-Hewitt.

OTC was led by Amy Worum with two hits in three at bats and a run batted in.

Game two was a 7-1 Bertha-Hewitt win.  Jones (7IP, 8H, ER, 2BB, 4K) went the distance to earn the win in the circle.  Kaija Weishalla (3-3, 2 2B, 2RBI, R), Line (1-3, 2RBI, 2R) and Molly Brownlow (1-3, 2RBI) led the Bears at the plate.

Leaders for the Bulldogs were Worum (2-3, BB), Carter (2-3, SB, R) and Lydia Baker (1-3, 2B, RBI).
