Dykhoff, a freshman from Wadena, was a force on the mound and at the plate for the Spartans. He registered nine wins for the Spartans, including a perfect game. He went the distance four times in 2019 and averaged 13.2 strikeouts per game. Offensively, he posted a .380 average, with four homers and 31 RBI.
Pietsch, a sophomore from Fargo, North Dakota, hit for a .421 average with an impressive 50 RBI as the resurgent Spartans put together a record-tying 32 win season in 2019. Pietsch registered a .591 slugging percentage and had four stolen bases on the year.
Dykhoff and Pietsch were joined on the MCAC All-Central Division team by teammate Devin Bush, a sophomore from Fargo, ND. Bush scored 40 times for the Spartans this spring, including four home runs. He had a .355 batting average and drove in 32 runs.
