The Spartan bats were silenced on Friday in St. Cloud as M State was shutout by Century College 2-0 and then eliminated from the Region XIII Tournament by top-seeded St. Cloud Technical College, 4-1.  The Spartans end the season with a 32-19 record, tying the record for most wins in a season in the history of the program.

Jake Dykhoff (9IP, 4H, 2R, 0ER, 1BB, 9K) pitched a complete game against Century College and deserved a better fate, but the Spartans couldn't put anything together at the plate as they had just six hits.  Dykhoff was 2-for-4 at the plate.  Will Magnusson and Ryan Schmitz each had a double, while Matt Pietsch and Eric Salvesen contributed singles.  An uncharacteristic four Spartan errors led to both runs allowed in the game.

In the loss to St. Cloud, the Cyclones collected 12 hits in the game, while the Spartans mustered only six.  Matt Hagen (7IP, 8H, 2ER, 2BB, 3K) was the losing pitcher for M State.  Offensive leaders were Pietsch (2-4), Tom Magnusson (1-4, RBI), Casey Peterson (1-4, 2B), Dykhoff (1-4) and Schmitz (1-4).  Devin Bush scored the only Spartan run, reaching base on a walk.
