Brandon-Evansville defeated Hillcrest Lutheran Academy 11-0 in five innings on Friday, clinching their sixth consecutive Pheasant Conference Softball championship.

“This was an all-around, solid team victory to close out our regular season,” said B-E Head Coach Kasi Sieling. “Mikenna Pattrin threw a great game and the defense played clean to work out of innings behind her. We were able to work out of a 3rd inning situation with runners on 2nd and 3rd without surrendering a run. We made sound adjustments in the batters box to string hits together and bring runners in. Alena Shores started off the scoring tonight with a single in the 2nd inning and the rest of the team followed suit with strings of singles and doubles throughout the lineup. It was exciting to see all of our starting nine collect a hit and hit the ball hard. I’m extremely proud of how the girls have played so far this season and excited they were able to come away with the victory tonight to clinch our conference title. We’ll enjoy this victory tonight and shift our focus tomorrow to the beginning of a brand new season with the start of post season next and the road through a very tough sub-section.”

Leading the way for the Chargers at the plate were Kristen Kokett (2-4, 2R, RBI), Bailey Schaefer (2-4, 2R), Pattrin (1-3, R, RBI, 2B), Haddey Zastrow (2-4, R, 3RBI), Kerryn Lund (2-3, 2R) and Christine Roers (1-3, R, 2RBI, 2B).
