Rooney and Kovash Fire Complete Game Wins for Perham

Noah Rooney threw a no-hitter and struck out sixteen batters to lead Perham to a 2-0 win over Warroad in the opening game of a Friday double header in Perham.  Maddux Kovash tossed a complete game in the nightcap as the Yellowjackets completed their double header sweep with an 8-4 win.

Josh Jeziorski (3-3, 2B, RBI) and Rooney (1-3, 2B, RBI) drove in the runs for Perham.  Dawson Stevens (2-3) and Kaleb King (2-3, 2B, R) added multiple hits for the Yellowjackets.

Kovash struck out five batters, walked three and gave up six hits in the second game.  Perham took advantage of four Warroad errors to score five unearned runs.  Michael Benke (2-3, SB, 2R), Rooney (1-1, RBI), Stevens (1-4, RBI), Kovash (1-3, 3B, R) and Sam Still (1-3, 2B, RBI, R) led the offensive attack for Perham.

The Yellowjackets improved to 16-0 with the double header sweep.
