Winning pitcher Eric Salvesen improved his season record to 6-2 as he went 7 innings, allowing 7 hits and 4 earned runs, while striking out six batters. Matt Hagen and Skylar Mursu each pitched an inning of scoreless relief for the Spartans.
Rochester led 4-0 after two innings, but M State put up three runs in the third and tied the game with a single run in the sixth. The Spartans took the lead with a pair of seventh inning runs and added a couple of insurance runs in the eighth.
