Eagles Take Baseball Twin Bill from Bulldogs

New York Mills posted a double header sweep of Ottertail Central on Thursday, winning 10-7 and 7-3.

Drake Larsen drove in the first run of game one with a single in the second inning.  Cole Brandner drove in a pair of runs with a double in the seventh.  The eagles took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning, highlighted by a two-run single by Corey Roberts.

Derin Gaudette (6IP, 3R, 6H, 5K, 1BB) was the winning pitcher for New York Mills.

Brandner (4IP, 9H, 9R, 1K, 1BB) took the loss for OTC.

The Bulldogs totaled nine hits in the game with Larsen collecting four hits in four at bats and Andrew Weniger adding a couple of safeties.

Abe Carlson (3IP, 4H, 2R, 4K) got the win in game two for the Eagles with Bren Salo throwing four innings of relief.
Daxton Olson (7IP, 7R, 10H, 2K) took the loss for the Bulldogs.  OTC tallied ten hits with Gardin leading the way with three hits in four at bats.

“New York Mills saw the ball well today,” said OTC Head Coach Ryan Hendrickson.  “They also played solid defense as they didn’t commit an error in the second game.”
