Arrows Sweep Softball Double Header from Wheaton

The Ashby softball team swept a Thursday double header against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, winning 5-4 and 7-5.

A two-run double by Kalista Aamot lifted Ashby to a 5-4 win in game one.  Josey Ness earned the victory in the circle, pitching six innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out six.  Ness smacked a home run for the Arrows.  Brynn Krupke and Courtney Koefod also had hits.
The Arrows broke a 4-4 tie in the fifth when Taleeyah Johnson singled in two runs.  Amelia Barry led the Arrows with three hits in four at bats and Ashby played errorless ball in the field. Madison Bestul (5IP, 6H, 5R, 1K) was the winning pitcher for the Arrows.

Haley Johnson led the Warriors at the plate with two hits in three at bats.
