Noah Rooney struck out fifteen batters on Saturday to lead the Perham Yellowjackets to a 5-0 win over St. Paul Johnson at Minnewaska Area High School in Glenwood. The win puts Perham at 12-0 on the season. Rooney allowed only four hits in the game and did not issue a walk.
Offensively, Sam Still (3-4, 2R, SB), Maddux Kovash (2-3, R, BB), Carter Mulcahy (1-3, 2R, BB) and Dawson Stevens (1-4, 2B, RBI) led the Yellowjackets. Max Tostenson, Josh Jeziorski and Steven Lindberg each knocked in a run.
Perham scored three runs in the first inning and two in the second to establish an early lead in the game.
