Bulldogs Fall to Hawley 4-3

The Ottertail Central baseball team hosted Hawley on Thursday afternoon, dropping a tight 4-3 contest to the Nuggets.

The game was tied 2-2 with Hawley batting in the top of the sixth inning when Nathan Sperr singled to drive in the go ahead win.  The Nuggets made it 4-2 with a run in the top of the seventh on a single by Noah Glad.  The Bulldogs answered when Daxton Olson drove in a run with a single in the bottom of the seventh, but they came up one run short.

OTC got on the board in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Cole Brandner and when Dylan Trana drove in a run with a base hit in the fifth inning he tied the game at 2-2.  OTC had eight hits on the day, compared to just six for Hawley.

George Pasche (2.2IP, 1H, 1R, K, 0BB) earned the win for Hawley.  The Nuggets had no errors in the game.

Kayne Cameron (6IP, 3K, 3R, 5H) took the loss for the Bulldogs.
