Panthers Score 5 in 7th to Top OTC

With the game tied at 6-6 in the top of the seventh inning, Prairie Valley capitalized on an error and went on to score five runs in the inning to take an 11-6 victory over Ottertail Central on Monday.

The Bulldogs got off to a fast start when Andrew Weniger delivered a two-run triple on a 3-0 count in the first inning.  OTC added three runs in the fifth with Cole Brandner and Nate Stavaas driving in runs.  Drake Larsen (6IP, 4R, 5H, 7K) was the starting pitcher for Ottertail Central and Stavaas took the loss in relief.  Larsen led the Bulldogs with two hits in four at bats.

Noah Koep (6IP, 6R, 5H, 7K) earned the victory and Alex Koep threw one inning of relief for Prairie Valley.  Lance Smith, Noah Koep, Preston Yohnke and Brendan Johnson all collected multiple hits with Smith going 3-for-4 at the plate.  Prairie Valley also stole six bases during the game with Jack Marquardt stealing a pair.
