The West Central Area Knights had a successful evening as they golfed in their first Quad County Conference girls meet on Thursday, April 25 at Balmoral.

Jessica St. Martin placed third in the meet with a score of 100.  She managed to stay out of any real trouble, avoiding penalty strokes.  She was a little disappointed as her shots didn't fly quite as far as they often do, but consistency was key for attaining a very respectful score.  Libby Poyzer tied for sixth place with a strong 108.  She was stroking the ball well and putting nicely.  She was very pleased with her first golf outing of the season.  Kate Wrolson was the Knights third golfer with a score of 112.  Frequent bogeys and a strong short game made for a good day.  Lexi Poyzer's long game was spot on.  Nice long tee shots and fairway shots were fun to watch and she finished with a 121.  Rounding out the scoring was Emily Courrier with a 146.  Emily felt good about her drives and had some nice chips.

As a team, the Knights won with a team score of 441 and runner-up honors went to Ortonville at 450.  Ottertail Central finished third with a 461, followed by Pillager (475) and Hillcrest (502).

Mikayla Rasset of Ortonville claimed medalist honors with a 93 and Adysen Tysdal of OTC was second with a 97.  After St. Martin came Abby Koel (103) and Bailey Knoblauch (107) of Pillager, and Chloe Banken (108) of Ortonville.
