The Knights finished the season with a 14-8 dual record in which they went 314-249 in all bouts wrestled.  They outscored their opponents, 914-640.

“Quality programs are led by quality people,” said reported Kevin Fick.  “The Knights wrestling program is no exception in that the man at the helm is Head Coach Brandon Gruchow.  Before getting into the team accomplishments it would be a travesty to not take the time to thank Mr. Gruchow and his family for all they do for this wrestling team, school system and community.”

Senior Wyatt Olson placed third in Class A State Tournament competition at 195 pounds, receiving All-State recognition.  Olson was also the recipient of the Most Valuable Wrestler award and the Sportsmanship award.

Sophomore Jordan Lohse was Section 6A runner-up and a state qualifier at 138 pounds.  He was named the Hardest Worker on the team.

Section runner-up (126) and state qualifier Anthony Sykora, an eighth-grader, was named the Most Exciting Wrestler on the squad.

Other team awards went to Colton Lindquist (Rookie Award), Austin Mattson (Most Improved) and Tammie Olson (Most Dedicated Fan).  Elli Johnsrud was the Statistician/Manager of the Year.

Olson and Lohse were also named All-Conference and were Park Region Conference champs.  During the season Olson earned his 50th career pin and career win number 75, while Lohse reached 100 career wins.   Sykora and Devin Stone both earned 25 career pins.  Olson led the team in wins (42), pins (33) and team points (230).  Lohse topped the team with 55 takedowns and Hunter Mickelsen had a team high 52 escapes.  Sykora and Bryce Lien each had 18 reversals to lead all Knight wrestlers in that category.
