Central Lakes Conference Girls Track and Field teams gathered at St. Johns University in Collegeville on Saturday for the CLC Indoor Track and Field Meet  Alexandria won the team event with 137 points and Willmar was second with 121. They were followed by Brainerd (107), Rocori (86), Fergus Falls (55), Sartell-St. Stephen (34.50), Sauk Rapids-Rice (24.50), St. Cloud Apollo (15) and St. Cloud Tech (5).

Top performances for the Otters came from Ainsley Hansen, who finished second in the high jump (5’ 0”) and Sabrina Fronning with a second place in the 60 meter hurdles (9.72).

“Ainsley’s second place in the high jump was outstanding,” commented Fergus Falls Head Coach Niki Welde. “She had no misses up until five feet and that one miss was the deciding factor.  She looked great at 5’ 2”. Sabrina raced like she had been when she left off at the end of last season.  Audrey Mudford had a career best long jump, moving her into scoring position, and Svea Smestad led the throwers with her best throw of the season.”

Mudford (16-02.50) ended up in sixth place.  Smestad (32-11.00) took eighth place in the shot put.
