The Henning Hornets earned the fourth seed in the Class A State Boys Basketball Tournament and will take their 28-1 record up against fifth-seeded Christ’s Household of Faith (23-5) in a quarterfinal round matchup on Thursday at 1:00pm at Williams Arena on the campus of the University of Minnesota.  Henning is making their first state tournament appearance since 1966.

Springfield (27-2) is the number one seed.  They will open the tournament at 11:00am Thursday against Spring Grove (23-4).  The 3:00pm game features second-seeded Ada-Borup (28-1) against Cromwell-Wright (25-3) and the 5:00pm contest has number three seed North Woods (27-2) facing Westbrook-Walnut Grove (23-7).

If Henning wins their quarterfinal round game they will play the winner of the Spring Grove vs Springfield game at 12:00 noon on Friday at Target Center.  A loss in the first round would put them up against the loser of that game at 10:00am Friday at Concordia University in St. Paul.  All Henning games will be broadcast live on KJJK, 96.5 FM and on kjcountry965.com.
