FF Girls’ Hockey Holds Awards Banquet

The Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team held its annual awards banquet to honor players from the 2018-19 state tournament season.  Congratulations to the Section 6A and Class A State Consolation Champions!

Sophie Rausch, Hallie Sheridan and Ellie Andersen received Central Lakes All-Conference recognition, while teammates Jadyn McKeever, Chloe Nelson and Jade Zierden were named Honorable Mention.

    
Sophie Rausch and Hallie Sheridan were named to the Class A All-State team. Hallie Sheridan and Jade Zierden received All-Tournament team honors.  Coach Tim Lill was named the Class A Coach of the Year.


The Otters received the Section 6A All-Academic Award with a combined grade point average of 3.85.  CLC Senior Scholars earning a 3.0 GPA or higher were Mady Eklund, Amy Johnson, Julia Johnson, Jadyn McKeever, Sophie Rausch and Hallie Sheridan.  All-State Academic seniors with a GPA of 3.9 or higher were Amy Johnson, Jadyn McKeever, and Sophie Rausch.


Team voted awards were presented at the varsity level.  Sophie Rausch was awarded the MVP, Hallie Sheridan earned Hardest Worker and Gabby Brimhall the Most Improved Player.  The Spirit award went to Amy Johnson. Talia Nelson received the MVP and Spirit awards at the JV level.  Chloe Schake earned Hardest Worker and Ariel Priebnow the Most Improved Player.

    
Everyday Otter awards for 100% attendance at practice and games went to Ellie Andersen, Piper Andrews, Hope Goepferd, Maddie Hulter, Amy Johnson, Jadyn McKeever, Sophie Rausch, Lizzy Moxness, Skye Norgren and Ava Werner.


Amy Johnson was the recipient of the Otter Hobey Baker Award for her positive attitude, coachability, sportsmanship, academic achievement and community spirit.

    
Jadyn McKeever received the first ever SASH Scholarship (Scholarship Award for the Sisterhood of Hockey).  This is a $1,000 scholarship funded anonymously.
