Pheasant Conference All-Conference Girls Basketball Team Announced

The West Central Area girls basketball team won the Pheasant Conference title during the 2018-19 season with an 11-1 conference record, finishing one game ahead of Brandon-Evansville.  Head Coach Eric Schoenbauer of the Knights earned Coach of the Year honors and freshman guard Lexi Bright of WCA was named the Pheasant Conference Most Valuable Player.

Two other members of the Knights, senior forward Ella VanKempen and junior guard Hailey Bennett were also named to the All-Conference team.

Brandon-Evansville is represented by senior guard Sara Jacobson, junior guard Haddey Zastrow and sophomore center Mikenna Pattrin.

Other members of the team are senior forward Emma Botker and sophomore guard Reanna Ward of Clinton-Graceville Beardsley, senior guard Haley Johnson and junior guard Maycee Tolifson of Wheaton/Herman-Norcross, freshman forward Rylee Hanson and freshman guard Carlee Hanson of Hancock, senior guard Jaiden Conroy of Ortonville and senior forward Olivia Foss of Hillcrest Lutheran Academy.

All-Conference Honorable Mention selections were Morgan Woodle (WCA), Madison Quinn (B-E), Brittany Korkowski (B-E), Mataiah Turner (C-G-B), Lora Botker (C-G-B), Isabella Schmidt (W-H-N), Alexis Staples (HAN), Carissa Vanderwal (ORT), Alyssa Kirchberg (ORT) and Mackenzie Foss (HLA).
