Jeziorski’s Double-Double Leads Perham Past Barnesville

The Perham Yellowjackets have advanced to the Section 8AA boys’ basketball championship game by beating Barnesville 55-39 to win the North Sub-Section title on Friday night at Concordia College in Moorhead.  Perham led 28-20 at the half and outscored the Trojans 27-19 over the final eighteen minutes.

Perham shot 48% (23-48) from the field and hit 43% (6-14) of their three’s.  Jensen Beachy and Finn Diggins each scored 15 points to lead Perham.  Josh Jeziorski contributed a double-double with 14 points and `10 rebounds, and Elijah Morris added 11.  Beachy and Diggins dished out 5 and 4 assists, respectively, and Carter Cresap added 3 assists.  Beachy had a team high 4 steals.

 

Barnesville made 42% (16-38) of their field goal attempts.  They were led by Kellen Hinsz with 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting.  Adam Tonsfeldt added 9 points and Hunter Zenzen had 5 points and 6 rebounds.

 

Perham will face Hawley at 7:00pm Friday at Concordia College in Moorhead for the Section 8AA title.
