Vikings Girls Fall to Cougars in 6A Semifinal Contest

The Pelican Rapids girls basketball team finished the season with a remarkable 26-2 record, however, the Ada-Borup Cougars avenged a season opening three point loss to the Vikings with a 49-46 win over Pelican Rapids on Tuesday night at Concordia College in Moorhead.  The win was the tenth in a row for the Cougars and puts them at 25-2 heading into the Section 6A title game against Parkers Prairie on Friday night at Concordia. The loss was the first since December 18 for Pelican Rapids who had won 21 straight games.

Adriana Torres and Greta Tollefson led the Vikings with 15 and 10 points, respectively.  Sarah Thompson contributed 7 points.

 

The Vikings led by a score of 20-17 at the half.
