State Wrestling Tournament Update

Three Perham wrestlers have advanced to the championship matches in their respective weight classes at the Minnesota Class AA State Tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.

Dylan Fudge (152), Zachary Peterson (182) and Ty Moser (195) will all wrestle for titles tonight.

 

Perham also has the following wrestlers still going in the wrestle backs as they try to finish as high as third place, Gabe Bellefeuille (126), Leighton Rach(132) and Dawson Kellogg (220).

 

Fergus Falls junior Dustin Portales (285) lost his semifinal match 3-2 to Logan Wingert of Plainview-Elgin-Millville and will wrestle for third place.

 

In Class A, Craig Orlando (285) of Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie will wrestle for the championship in his weight class.  Wyatt Olson (195) of West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville lost his semifinal match 5-3 and will wrestle for third place.  Dane Niemi (120) of New York Mills is also in a third place match.

 

Other area wrestlers still in the wrestle backs include Daniel Erlandson (195) of Breckenridge and Cian Buehler (285) of Ottertail Central.
