Otter Boys Hit a Record 21 3-Pointers in Win Over Prowlers

It was a record setting night for the Fergus Falls boys basketball team as they connected on 21-of-42 three-point field goal attempts on the way to a 94-36 win over Thief River Falls at the Kennedy Secondary Gold Gymnasium in Fergus Falls.

The Otters set records for most points in a half (60), most 3-pointers (21), most 3's in a half (16) and most attempted 3's (42).  Austin Stanislawski hit seven 3's, falling one short of the record of 8 held by Josh Mohagen.  Stanislawski was the leading scorer for the Otters with 24 points.

Fergus Falls scored the first ten points of the game and led 60-21 at the half.  They rattled off sixteen consecutive points to start the second half and led by as many as 63 points in the game.

Nic Pearson scored 15 points, hitting a trio of treys and Matthew Johnson added 14 points, including a pair of 3's.  Harrison Christensen buried four 3-pointers, finishing with 12 points.  Seven different Otters made three pointers in the game.  Stanislawski also had a team high 6 rebounds and came up with two steals. Nate Rund led the team with 8 assists, Christensen distributed 5 assists, Johnson had 4 assists and Pearson dished out 3 assists.  Rund also had 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 9 points. 

Ean Olson and Brevyn Lingen each had nine points for Thief River Falls.  The Prowlers had 24 turnovers.

Fergus Falls (8-5) will host Sartell on Tuesday night in a Central Lakes Conference contest.
